Das Wetter soll ja – hier zumindest –  am Wochenende schlechter werden. Da ist Abtauchen angesagt, oder?

This weekend the weather forecast for Munich and other parts of Germany says it will be cold and rainy. Time to submerge and find nourishing grounds in our own deep, no?

Vor der Residenz in München bewachen vier bronzene Löwenskulpturen die Eingänge. Am unteren Ende der Schilde, die sie jeweils halten, befinden sich Löwenschnauzen. Sie zu streicheln, bringt Glück und lässt sie "golden" schimmern. Im Moment ist ein Löwenpaar allerdings beim Resaturator, es werden Abgüsse hergestellt, die Originale kommen ins Museum, die Umweltbelastung könnte sie zerstören.

At the former kingly residence in Munich four lions watch the entrances. The lions' heads at the lower ends of the shields they carry are said to bring good luck, if you touch them. At the moment one pair of lions is restaurated and will be replaced by casts, because the environmental pollution in the long run would ruin the originals.

Manchmal entdeckt man schöne Dinge an ganz unwahrscheinlichen Orten, wie eine Maria am Bauzaun. Ein WUNDER-volles Wochenende.
