Als großer Fan von Pierre Soulages fühlte ich mich beim Anblick des Metro-Fußbodens an seine Outrenoir-Bilder (Jenseits von Schwarz) erinnert, über die er sagte:
„Ich arbeite nicht mit Schwarz, sondern mit dem Licht, das vom Schwarz reflektiert wird.“

As a big fan of Pierre Soulages, the sight of the Metro floor reminded me of his Outrenoir paintings (Beyond Black), about which he said:
"My instrument is not black but the light reflected from the black."

Gerissene Zufallsbilder haben mich schon in den Münchner U-Bahnstationen fasziniert. In Paris gibt es sie auch … Dort sind sie fast noch etwas "roher".
